Alone Together
In the city, we are constantly surrounded by other people, yet rarely truly encounter them. We pass each other on pavements, at crossings, in the metro and on crowded streets, often without a glance. These photographs look at those brief moments of proximity and explore the strange intimacy of being surrounded by people while remaining alone—of moving together through a city without truly seeing one another. Each passing figure becomes both present and distant, a fleeting presence in the shared rhythm of urban life. Alone Together is about this quiet distance: the feeling of being part of a crowd while moving through it alone.
